inHERE presented at the UNIMED Worskshop on Higher Education and Refugees

In the framework of the RESCUE project, UNIMED organised a Workshop on Higher Education and Refugees in Europe and in the MENA Region, which was held on the 15th of February 2017 in Rome, at UNIMED premises.

The event was an opportunity for interested stakeholders to discuss about the refugees condition in European Higher Institutions and in the MENA region, benefiting from different experiences and hearing voices from the field. Representatives from Iraqi, Lebanese, Syrian and Jordanian Universities attended the event, enriching the discussion telling about their own initiatives, their daily challenges and the hope for the future, reinforcing the importance of cooperation projects.

inHERE was presented by Cristina Stefanelli, Project Coordinator for UNIMED. As a result, it was expressed the will to explore the possibilities opened by connecting the activities foreseen for the inHERE and RESCUE projects, so to have a more comprehensive perspective on refugees integration and a common ground for improvement.

The programme of the event is available here.
